The regulation civil war cap box used unmodified after the war as a pistol cartridge box .We construct our version exactly as the originals with sheepskin lining and inner cover flap

1875 Modified Pistol Cartridge Box
Originally made from surplus civil war cap pouches. The 1875 modification consisted of the removal of the inner flap and sheep skin and the addition of a U.S. embossed on the outer flap.
