Regulation civil war period saddle used into the early 1870’s.
Hand stitched heavy skirting leather with authentic hardware and markings. Saddle consists of rawhide covered tree, skirts, quarter straps, fenders, stirrup straps, hooded stirrups, coat straps and woolen webbing girth.
1872 pattern McLellan $1850
Modified 1859 pattern saddle as per Ordnance Memoranda No. 13 with black leather covering and safes behind spaded d-rings.
Saddle consists of Black leather covered rawhide tree, quarter straps, stirrup straps, U.S. embossed 3 ” tread hooded stirrups, coat straps and 1859 pattern woolen webbing girth. Hand stitched using authentic construction techniques and materials.
